The Medical Hub

Uumbajji Design Studio spearheaded conceptualizing & the execution of a ground breaking medical facility in conjunction with an affiliate firm- Planning Interiors Ltd. The hub is at a vantage point which gives maximum visibility from street view, allowing glimpses into this contemporary fit out.
A number of specialist clinics with strong individual identities and relatable branding, comprise the overall new corporation:
Roswell Women & Children’s Clinic, Wellington Diabetes & Heart Clinic, Unity Skin Clinic and Roswell Maternity Centre.
The maternity ward comprises private suites fitted with high end furniture & finishes, and state of the art medical equipment. It also houses the first
Labour Delivery & Recovery suite.
The overall theme was inspired by nature- in the Ugandan context. Use of local flora & fauna, and symbolic wildlife informed all the lounges, receptions & public spaces. An important feature, once complete will be a vibrant Terrace Garden at rooftop level primarily for expectant mothers; but also open to other patients.
