A family restaurant business was the inspiration behind this intimate space located at Kensington Shopping Boulevard.
Quirky iconic signage in printed vinyl gave the shopfront an enticing appeal, standing out from the surrounding tenants.
With an indoor seating capacity for 16, Portions restaurant offers a glimpse into making the most of a limited space through functional design. Being a rented space, neutral paint colors give the subtle background to highlight timber table tops and pops of red fabric upholstery.
The Service counter, bench seating & wall units were custom designed in-house & fabricated locally by identifying specialists in joinery.
The simplistic feature wall displays painted mural branding with laser cut food icons in varnished MDF board for visual effect.
One of our first and favorite projects, Portions restaurant defies the misconception of design in a small space with budget constraints.
